Dr. Louie has 20 years of experience in dental sleep medicine and oral appliance therapy, our practice is recognized for its expertise in the evaluation and treatment of sleep-disordered breathing. We are one of the few dental sleep medicine offices in Southern California dedicated to treating patients with obstructive sleep apnea and disruptive snoring through customized, non-invasive treatment options.
He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Southern California (USC) School of Dentistry in 1994 and has served the Los Angeles community for over 30 years. He brings extensive experience in dentistry, with additional training in cosmetic and implant reconstruction.
In addition to maintaining his private practice on Larchmont Boulevard since 1996, Dr. Louie spent a decade teaching in USC’s Restorative Department, earning recognition for his contributions to dental education. His professional background reflects a longstanding commitment to advancing dental care and helping patients maintain their oral health.
Today, Dr. Louie offers a focused approach to sleep apnea treatment, helping patients explore oral appliance therapy as an alternative to traditional CPAP treatment when appropriate. We specialize in custom, FDA-cleared oral appliance therapy (OAT) an evidence based treatment option for patients with obstructive sleep apnea who are unable to tolerate or remain compliant with CPAP therapy. Each oral appliance is individually designed and professionally fabricated to gently reposition the jaw and help maintain an open airway during sleep. This approach may help reduce snoring, improve sleep quality, and support better overall sleep health when clinically appropriate.
We provide care for patients who may benefit from oral appliance therapy, including those who:
